Website Design Concept

Garibaldi Glass

A near-black page lets architectural glass, light and technical detail take the stage in this concept for a Burnaby fabricator founded in 1966.

Garibaldi Glass website concept homepage

This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for Garibaldi Glass. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with Garibaldi Glass.

At a Glance

Garibaldi Glass is a privately owned architectural glass fabricator in Burnaby, BC, serving local and international markets since 1966. Eight sections make up the concept: an introduction to the company and its values, six capabilities from heat-treated to frit and custom glass, room for projects and industries, and a promotion for GlassDay, an anniversary event with accredited seminars, plant tours and vendor displays.

The Brief

Architects and glaziers judge a fabricator on what it can make and how dependably it delivers. Our concept needed to show capability in technical terms while letting the finished glass carry the brand.

  • Present six fabrication capabilities in the language specifiers use, from heat-soaked glass to PVB interlayers.
  • Convey six decades of experience and a problem-solving culture through three plain values.
  • Promote GlassDay 2026, with seminars, plant tours and networking, as a reason to visit the facility.
  • Give architects, builders and partners a direct line through the header phone number and Get in Touch.

What We Designed

Near-black backgrounds, light grey text, warm white headlines and champagne gold buttons give the concept the feel of a gallery, with the imagery lit against the dark. The hero places Since 1966 above Building a legacy of purposeful beauty in Playfair Display, with three figures beneath it: years, team and possibilities. A GlassDay banner runs directly below, listing the anniversary date and what is on.

Against the serif headlines, Outfit keeps the technical copy clean. The company story, The Garibaldi Way, pairs a short history with three values in a few words each: integrity, innovation and tenacity. Capabilities follow as six numbered cards naming specific processes, such as tempering and heat-soaking, CNC drilling and milling, thermoplastic spacers in insulated units, PVB lamination and photo reproduction in ceramic frit.

Numbered capabilities

Six cards run from Heat Treated to Frit & Custom, written in the terms specifiers use.

An anniversary event strip with the date, accredited seminars, plant tours, vendor displays and networking.

Three values

Integrity, innovation and tenacity, each with a short line: do what's right, create it, find a way.

Direct line

A toll-free number and a Get in Touch button sit in the header for project enquiries.

How We Achieved It

Who we are, what we offer, projects and industries make up the menu, with the toll-free number and Get in Touch set apart at the end. The footer goes further, listing every solution alongside pages for the facility, capabilities, culture and community, the gallery, news, careers, resources, GlassDay and facility tours, so the concept maps out a complete site.

The capability copy is built around processes and materials rather than adjectives, because those are the terms a specifier looks for when comparing fabricators. Numbering the six cards gives the section a catalogue feel and makes each service easy to refer to. The meta description names custom fabrication, structural glass and Burnaby for search.
