Website Design Concept

Annora Restaurant

Our concept presents a small fine-dining room in Langley City through the meaning of its name, honour, and gives diners a clear route to request a table.

Annora Restaurant website concept homepage

This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for Annora Restaurant. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with Annora Restaurant.

At a Glance

In Langley City, BC, Annora has served West Coast dishes built on Fraser Valley and British Columbia ingredients since 2016. Across seven sections, our concept introduces the name and its meaning, sets out the kitchen's philosophy in three numbered points, presents four menus, makes room for guest reviews and private occasions, and ends with a table request, a map and opening hours.

The Brief

A small dining room open five evenings a week has a limited number of seats to fill. The page had to convey care and craft quickly, then turn that interest into a reservation request.

  • Explain the name, which translates to honour, and how that idea shapes the cooking.
  • State the kitchen's principles plainly: local sourcing, everything made in-house and an intimate room.
  • Give the main, prix fixe, lunch and wine menus each a clear place on the page.
  • Make reserving a table, or asking about a private occasion, a short and obvious step.

What We Designed

Fine West Coast Dining with Annora is set in Cormorant Garamond at the top of the page, with a one-line promise about local ingredients treated with honour and an Explore Our Menus button, while a Reserve link sits in the navigation. The story section explains the name and introduces the chef's background without crowding the page, and three numbered principles follow: Local First, Crafted In-House and Intimate Experience.

Warm ivory, near-black text and antique gold buttons give the page the low-lit calm of an evening service, and Jost keeps menus and hours legible. The page also makes room for video. Specific details such as Milner Valley cheese, wild Pacific seafood and hand-rolled gnudi signal quality better than adjectives would, so we let the ingredients carry the description.

Three principles

Local First, Crafted In-House and Intimate Experience, numbered and explained in a sentence or two each.

Four menus

Main, prix fixe, lunch and wine list grouped under one heading, each reflecting the season.

Private occasions

A section of its own invites guests to plan private events and special occasions at the restaurant.

Table request

A short request with a dropdown and a Send Request button, supported by a map and the opening hours.

How We Achieved It

Annora's navigation is short: about, menus, reviews, events and reserve. Because the room is small, we treated the reservation as the page's goal; the navigation, the closing Reserve Your Table section and the footer all lead to it, and the footer adds the address, phone number and Tuesday to Saturday evening hours.

The table request pairs a dropdown with a single Send Request button, which keeps the step simple. An embedded map shows the Langley City location for first-time guests. Menus are gathered under one heading, Our Menus, each described in a line, and the descriptive title and meta description name the cuisine and the city for local searches.
