At a Glance

West Coast Media Solutions has been a Vancouver digital marketing agency since 2000, and westcoastmediasolutions.com is our own website. We designed it to introduce the agency, explain six service offerings on dedicated pages and show our work: the web design page holds the portfolio and a Concepts section of websites designed for prospective clients. The home page also introduces Websites by WCMS, our custom website plan, and links to our ventures.

The Brief

An agency's own website is the first piece of work a prospective client judges. Ours had to explain a broad set of services clearly, show real projects and give every visitor an obvious next step.

  • Say who we are, where we are based and how long we have been at it in the opening screen.
  • Move the six service offerings out of pop-ups and onto pages of their own.
  • Gather our web design work, including concepts for prospective clients, in one place.
  • End with answers to common questions and a clear invitation to start a project.

What We Designed

Our hero is dark and direct: a line reading Vancouver Digital Marketing Agency, Since 2000, the company name as the headline, and a row of figures for clients, countries served and years of experience. A band naming our disciplines runs beneath. Then come the Websites by WCMS panel, the services, what sets the agency apart, our four-step process (Discover, Strategize, Execute, Scale), common questions, an at-a-glance summary and a closing invitation to build something together.

Warm cream, near-black and a rich gold make up the palette. Playfair Display gives the headlines a classic, confident serif, DM Sans carries the body copy, and JetBrains Mono adds small technical touches. A theme toggle lets visitors switch between light and dark, and each service in the menu carries a small geometric glyph, a quiet detail that helps a long list scan at a glance.

Dedicated service pages

Six service offerings, once overlays, each now have a page of their own, linked from the main menu.

Web design showcase

Finished sites and design concepts share one page, showing both delivered work and fresh thinking.

Websites by WCMS

A home page panel introduces our custom website plan and links straight to the design work.

How We Achieved It

The six service offerings started life as overlays. We split each one out into a dedicated page, which gives every service room for detail and an address of its own for search engines. The menu groups them under Services with their glyphs, alongside About, Web Design, the blog and our ventures, Ultimate Domain Names and Kundert Consulting, and a skip-to-content link comes first for keyboard and screen reader users.

The web design page brings the work together: our portfolio of live sites, a Concepts section of designs made for prospective clients, and now a case study for each project, including this one. A full favicon set, structured data and an Open Graph image round out the build, and the footer gathers services, company pages, ventures and legal notices in one place.
