Website Design Concept
Poseidon Property Management
Two nautical redesign concepts for a locally owned strata manager, written for the council members who choose who looks after their building.
This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for Poseidon Property Management. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with Poseidon Property Management.
At a Glance
Locally owned and focused entirely on BC's Lower Mainland, Poseidon Property Management looks after strata corporations of every kind. We built two full redesign concepts and a summary page showing both as scaled live previews. The first, described here, is a single page in a maritime-institutional style: local roots, six areas of service, a manager profile, four core values and common BC strata forms to download, closing with a request for a proposal.

The Brief
A strata council hands its building, its budget and its owners' questions to one manager. The redesign had to show who that manager is, how the work gets done and why being local matters, then make asking for a proposal the obvious next step.
- Make local ownership and a sole focus on the Lower Mainland the first thing a council reads.
- Spell out six areas of service, from governance and meetings to bylaw support and owner communication.
- Introduce the manager early, with an owner's perspective as well as a manager's.
- Give councils and owners something useful straight away: common BC strata forms, ready to download.
What We Designed
Concept 1 opens with Steady hands for Lower Mainland strata, set in Marcellus capitals over an animated swell line, with a faint trident watermark behind. Source Sans 3 carries the reading. The palette is abyss ink, harbour teal and brass, with brass on the Request a Proposal button, and the dark and light switch starts from the visitor's own system setting. Four short pillars follow the headline: locally owned, full spectrum, educated leadership and an owner's perspective.
Concept 2 takes the same company in a lighter direction: six pages styled as a nautical chart editorial, light by default, in Bricolage Grotesque, Inter and IBM Plex Mono. Its palette is Pacific navy, aqua and buoy orange, and the hero is an SVG chart card with contour lines and a dashed route. Like the first, it includes a dark and light switch, and both keep the maritime theme close to the company's name while the content stays practical.
Swell-line hero
An animated line of ocean swell and a faint trident watermark set a maritime tone behind the opening headline.
Six service areas
Governance and meetings, financial management, maintenance and trades, records, bylaw and compliance support, and owner communication.
Downloadable strata forms
Common BC strata forms sit in one list, ready to download, so the site is useful before anyone requests a proposal.
Full-spectrum coverage
High-rise, low-rise, mixed-use, commercial and air space parcels: the range of properties covered, stated in one of the opening pillars.
How We Achieved It
In Concept 1 the navigation reads About, Services, Your Manager, Values and Forms, with Request a Proposal set apart as the main action. The manager profile, headed A manager who treats your property as his own, answers a practical question for any council: who will actually look after the building. Four core values, accountability, loyalty, innovation and transparency, then set out the standards behind every decision.
The contact section, Let's talk about your community, pairs direct contact details with a form that asks for the strata and the sender's role, so each inquiry arrives with context. The form is guarded against spam, and the footer links to the privacy, cookie, legal, accessibility and terms notices. The summary page then shows both concepts as scaled live previews, so the single-page and six-page approaches can be compared directly.
